With the relationship between physical therapists and referral sources such as primary care physicians so important, APTA sought current insights about PCPs' perceptions of PTs and physical therapist services. Results from an extensive survey of PCPs in 2024 are highlighted in "Primary Care Physician Perceptions of Physical Therapy: An APTA Report," published in November the same year.
